Irish alumina production is projected to reach almost two million metric tons by 2026. This represents a modest 0.5% yearly growth since 2021, when 1.93 million metric tons were produced. However, production has steadily decreased since 2003. That year, the Irish alumina supply stood at 0.4% lower than it is today. Germany was the primary producer in 2021, with 1.93 million metric tons. Australia, Brazil and India followed suit, occupying the second, third and fourth positions in the ranking respectively.
