Salvadoran import of gypsum is projected to drop slightly in the coming years. By 2026, it is expected to reach 33.4 million kilograms, down 0.3% from 33.5 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1999, the country has seen a yearly decline of 3%. In 2019, Salvadoran import of gypsum ranked 58th worldwide. Armenia was ahead by a significant margin, with 146,000 kilograms imported that year. Thailand, Spain and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
