Mexico's gypsum exports are set to reach 3.1 billion kilograms by 2026, growing at an average of 2.3% year on year. This is up from the 2.7 billion kilograms recorded in 2021, when Mexico held the fifth position in the global ranking. Iran, Thailand, Spain and Iraq were the countries that preceded Mexico in the ranking. Mexico's gypsum imports, totalling 5.5 million kilograms in 2018, showed a decrease of 13.4% in comparison to the 6.4 million kilograms recorded in the previous year. Since 1995, Mexican demand has dropped by 5.6% year on year.
