Morocco's gypsum exports are forecast to rise 3.4% yearly on average up to 2026. Last year, the country shipped 393.5 million kilograms, placing 11th in global rankings. This was an increase of 26.5% from 1998. Cyprus overtook Morocco in 2021, with Thailand, Spain and Iran respectively ranking second, third and fourth. Morocco's gypsum imports were 98,120 kilograms in 2018, up 169% from the previous year. Since 1998, the country's demand for gypsum has decreased by 58.2% year-on-year.
