Belgium is set to experience a slight increase in gypsum imports and exports over the next five years. In 2021, the country imported nearly 983 million kilograms, up 0.9% from the previous year. Since 2004, Belgian demand for gypsum has grown by an average of 2.8% each year. The country is also set to export 124 million kilograms of gypsum in 2026, up 1.4% from 2021. This is an increase of 4.9% since 2004. China led the way in 2021 with 112.8 million kilograms, with Thailand, Spain, and Iran taking second, third, and fourth places respectively.
