Albanian gypsum imports dropped by a staggering 92.8% in 2018 compared to 2017. A total of 3,500 kilograms of gypsum were imported last year, compared to 48,490 kilograms the year before. This is the largest year-on-year decrease since 2001, with total demand for gypsum having fallen 54.7% since then.
