Notably, since 1999, the Greek hotel room supply has experienced a slight decline of 0.2% per year. In the rankings for 2023, Greece secured the fifth spot. France led with the same number of rooms as Greece, at 411,000. Germany, Spain, and France occupied the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the occupancy front, Greek hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 18.2% in November 2021, a significant drop from 43% in October 2021.
