This represents a negligible growth rate of 0% year on year on average. Since 1998, the supply of hotel rooms in Hungary has seen a slight annual decrease of 0.8%. In 2023, Hungary ranked 17th globally in hotel room availability, with Croatia surpassing it at the same number of bedrooms. Leading the rankings were Germany, Spain, and France, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. In terms of hotel occupancy, Hungary recorded a level of 35.5% in December 2021, down from 42.4% in November 2021. This marks a significant drop compared to the same period the previous year.
