Romania's hotel occupancy rate decreased to 22.8% in November 2021, from 27.1% in October 2021, according to the latest figures from the Romanian Ministry of Tourism. This was compared to a rate of 27.1% recorded in October 2021. Over the next five years, supply of hotel rooms in Romania is expected to reach 108,030, a decrease of 0.2% year on year. This is down from 105,680 rooms in 2021, when Romania was the 14th biggest market in Europe. Sweden overtook Romania as the largest market in 2021, with 105,680 rooms. The United Kingdom, Germany and Spain came in at numbers two, three and four respectively.
