Slovenia's hotel room availability is projected to reach approximately 28,500 bedrooms by 2028, up from around 26,800 bedrooms in 2023, marking an average annual growth rate of 1%. Since 1995, the country's hotel room supply has consistently increased by about 1.5% per year. In 2023, Slovenia ranked 24th globally in hotel room supply, just behind Cyprus, which also had about 26,800 bedrooms. Leading the ranking were Germany, Spain, and France, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. Hotel occupancy levels in Slovenia saw a significant decline, dropping to around 37% in November 2021 from nearly 49% in October 2021. This marked a noticeable decrease compared to the previous year's figures.
