Since 1996, the country’s hotel room supply has increased by an average of 1.6% per year. In 2023, Slovakia ranked 22nd globally in terms of hotel room supply, with Denmark slightly ahead at the same number of bedrooms. Leading the rankings were Germany, Spain, and France, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. In terms of hotel occupancy, Slovakia recorded a rate of 22.7% in November 2021, down from 30.7% in October 2021. This decrease highlights a significant drop in hotel occupancy over the one-month period.
