The number of available hotel rooms in the Czech Republic is projected to reach approximately 187,000 by 2028, up from around 168,000 in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.7%. Since 1998, the supply of hotel rooms in the Czech Republic has increased by an average of 3.5% per year. In 2023, the Czech Republic ranked eighth in Europe in terms of hotel room availability. Poland narrowly surpassed the Czech Republic with a similar number of rooms. Germany, Spain, and France held the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. In terms of hotel occupancy, the Czech Republic saw a rise to 43.1% in October 2021, up from 39.6% in September 2021. This marks an improvement compared to the same period a year earlier.
