In January 2021, the occupancy rate of Cypriot hotels rose to 36.4%, up from 11.4% in December 2020 and 25.2% in January 2020. This is according to a recent report from the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO). The number of available hotel rooms in Cyprus is set to reach 40,410 by 2026, down from 39,720 in 2021. This is a decrease of 0.3% per year, which is a continuation of the downward trend since 1995, when the number of rooms was 0.7% lower than it is today. Denmark currently has the largest number of hotel rooms, with 39,720, followed by the United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, respectively.
