China is the world's leading importer and exporter of vinegar, set to reach 13 million and 21.7 million kilograms of imports and exports respectively by 2026. In 2021, China's demand for vinegar rose 7.5% year on year, and its supply rose 8.4%. Poland overtook China as the top importer, and Japan overtook it as the top exporter. Italy, Germany and France were the next biggest importers, while Italy, Germany and Greece were the next biggest exporters.
