Beninese vinegar imports are expected to decline over the next few years. In 2021, the country imported 43,580 kilograms of vinegar, down 2.6% from the previous year. This marks a 15.5% decline since 2003. Benin was ranked 130th in the world in 2021, overtaken by Burundi. Italy, Germany and France ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the world respectively. Meanwhile, Beninese vinegar exports saw an impressive increase of 52% in 2017, reaching 193 kilograms, up from 127 kilograms in 2016.
