Uzbek fish production is set to increase by 3.4% year on year, from 63,200 metric tons in 2021 to 78,500 in 2026. Since 1993, the country's supply has risen by 10.7% annually. In 2021, Uzbekistan was the 41st largest supplier, with Nepal overtaking it at 63,200 metric tons. Indonesia, India and Vietnam were the top three suppliers in that ranking. Uzbekistan's fish consumption is expected to decline by 5.5% year on year, from 3.48 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 2.55 in 2026. Since 2017, the country's demand has dropped by 6.5% year on year.
