Fish production in Barbados is on the rise. In 2021, the country reached 28.79 Metric Tons of production, up 3.3% from the year before. Since 2011, production has increased by 2.5% year on year. Barbados ranked 157th in 2021, behind Saint Lucia. Indonesia, India and Vietnam were the top three producers. Fish consumption in Barbados is also increasing. In 2021, the country reached 6.97 Thousand Metric Tons of consumption, up 0.2% from the previous year. Since 2017, however, consumption has decreased by 1.7% year on year. By 2026, Barbados is expected to consume 7.17 Thousand Metric Tons of fish.
