The export ranking was number 61 in 2017. Mauritanian cement imports are projected to reach around $44.4 million by 2026. This is an increase of 0.7% on average each year since 2005. In 2021, Mauritanian demand ranked 56th in the world, falling behind Denmark with $42.1 million. The Philippines, Sri Lanka and China respectively came in at second, third and fourth place in the rankings. Mauritanian cement exports experienced a sharp drop in 2017, falling by 35.3% to $36.9 million, compared with 2016's figure of $57.1 million. The country was ranked 61st in 2017 for export.
