Zimbabwean roofing exports are forecast to reach 1.2 million kilograms by 2026, up from 1 million kilograms in 2021, growing at an average rate of 2.9% year-on-year. This continues the downward trend since 2000, when exports decreased by 11.4% year-on-year. In 2021, Zimbabwe placed 39th, with Sri Lanka overtaking it with 1 million kilograms. France, Hungary, and Spain came in second, third, and fourth respectively in this ranking. Zimbabwean roofing imports, however, are projected to drop to 55,530 kilograms by 2026, down from nearly 79,000 kilograms in 2021, declining at a rate of 6.1% year-on-year. Since 2006, demand has decreased by 15.9% year-on-year. In 2021, Zimbabwe placed 112th, with Uganda overtaking it with 79,000 kilograms. The United Kingdom, Romania, and Bulgaria came in second, third, and fourth respectively in this ranking.
