In 2021, Australia was in 36th position on the global ranking of roofing imports, behind Myanmar's 15.1 million kilograms. The United Kingdom, Romania and Bulgaria came in second, third and fourth place respectively. Australian roofing exports dropped by 2.9% in 2021 to 722,800 kilograms, compared to 744,620 kilograms in 2020. Since 1993, Australian supply has grown by an average of 3.9% year on year. In 2021, Australia was ranked 42nd in global roofing exports, behind Zimbabwe's 722,800 kilograms. France, Hungary and Spain were ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
