Sri Lankan roofing imports are expected to reach almost 900,000 kilograms by 2026, an increase of 4% year-on-year on average since 2004. In 2021, Sri Lanka was number 92 in the global ranking, behind Bahrain with 704,110 kilograms. The United Kingdom, Romania and Bulgaria followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan roofing exports are projected to reach 1.4 million kilograms by 2026, an average increase of 2.5% year-on-year since 2004. In 2021, the country ranked number 38, overtaken by Luxembourg with 1,182,700 kilograms. France, Hungary and Spain occupied the next three places in the ranking.
