Omani imports of roofing materials are set to reach 3.98 million kilograms by 2026. This marks an average growth of 3.2% year on year since 1994, when the demand was 10.9% higher than that of the previous year. In 2021, Japan overtook the country, coming in at number one with 3.24 million kilograms, while the United Kingdom, Romania and Bulgaria respectively followed at numbers two, three and four. In contrast, Omani exports of roofing materials dropped by 87% to 1,000 kilograms in 2018, compared to 2017 when the figure was 7,700 kilograms. The Philippines came in first at number 89, with France, Hungary and Spain respectively taking spots two, three and four.
