The global mental health providers density is projected to reach almost 200,000 by 2026, growing at an average annual rate of 0.4% since 2017. The United States had the most mental health providers density in 2021, with nearly 48,000 persons. Germany, Japan and France followed in the ranking, respectively. Chile saw an increase of 6.6% in this figure since 2017, while Iceland had a decrease of 1.7%. European mental health expenditure is forecasted to reach over €28 billion by 2026, with an average annual rate of growth of 0.7% since 2016. France was the leader in this area in 2021, with €10.7 billion. The Netherlands, Norway and Belgium followed in the ranking. Romania's expenditure increased by 16.5% since 2016, while Hungary's fell by 7.1%.
