European mental health expenditure is forecasted to reach over €28 billion by 2026, with an average annual rate of growth of 0.7% since 2016. France was the leader in this area in 2021, with €10.7 billion. The Netherlands, Norway and Belgium followed in the ranking. Romania's expenditure increased by 16.5% since 2016, while Hungary's fell by 7.1%.
