European chemicals manufacturing production is set to reach €403 billion by 2026. In 2021, it stood at €398 billion, a slight decrease of 0.2% compared to the average rate of change seen since 2016. Germany was the biggest producer in 2021, with €135 billion. France, Italy and the Netherlands respectively came in second, third and fourth place. Latvia saw the biggest increase, growing 9.1% year-on-year, while Slovakia was the only country to record a decrease, down 2% since 2016.
