European essential oil consumption is predicted to reach nearly €7.8 billion by 2026, a 0.5% increase year-on-year. Since 2016, consumption has decreased by the same amount. France led the way in 2021, with consumption of €2.2 billion. The UK, Spain and Italy followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Greece saw a 6.5% year-on-year increase, while the UK was down 2.1%.
