European telecom expenditure is forecast to reach €227 billion by 2026. This is an increase of 0.4% per year since 2021, when expenditures totalled €226 billion. Since 2016, demand has risen by 1.3% annually. Germany led Europe in 2021, when telecom expenditure reached €41 billion. France, the UK and Italy occupied the next three spots. Iceland saw the biggest year-on-year growth at 8.7%, while Montenegro had the most significant decrease at 4.3%.
