In 2023, Australia led global lithium production with 2.1631 million metric tons, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 1.93%. Chile produced 0.12574 million metric tons, up by 5.26%, while Portugal and Brazil saw increases of 3.93% and 17.74%, producing 0.09313 and 0.09279 million metric tons respectively. China's production grew by 11.26% to reach 0.06445 million metric tons, and Argentina produced 0.04028 million metric tons, a 3.21% increase from the previous year.
