In 2023, Luxembourg and Malta led the global share of scientific publications in gastroenterology involving international collaboration, achieving values of 100% and 98.99%, respectively. Other notable contributors include the United Arab Emirates (77.88%), Cyprus (73.45%), and Latvia (71.97%). Countries such as Ukraine (50.2%) and South Africa (48.04%) also showed notable international collaboration. However, larger countries such as China (2.71%) and Japan (5.22%) were at the lower end of the spectrum, indicating a lower tendency towards international collaborations in this field.
