European Air Emissions of Small Particulates (Less Than 10µm) in Publishing, Audiovisual and Broadcasting Activities by Country

The 2023 data revealed notable contrasts among European countries in air emissions of small particulates from publishing, audiovisual, and broadcasting activities. Poland exhibited high emissions, leading significantly with 65 kilograms per million USD, followed by Estonia at 47.73 kilograms per million USD. In contrast, Western European countries like the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and Denmark demonstrated much lower emissions, consistent with their ongoing downward trend.

The year-on-year changes indicate varying patterns across Europe. Poland, Estonia, Slovakia, and Spain showed increases, while Slovenia, Austria, Portugal, Hungary, Czech Republic, France, and the United Kingdom experienced reductions. Particularly, Hungary saw a significant drop of 6.95%, and the Czech Republic was close behind with a decrease of 6.76%. Interestingly, the Netherlands bucked the trend with a 22.3% increase. The Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) over the past five years demonstrates Europe's general movement towards minimizing particulate emissions, especially in historically high-emission countries.

Looking ahead, European countries are expected to further intensify regulatory frameworks and adopt cleaner technologies.
