Germany remains the leader in European wind power electricity production with 66.86 thousand MW, showing a moderate growth of 2.63% year-on-year. Spain and the United Kingdom follow with 30.41 thousand MW and 28.94 thousand MW respectively, both with significant increases of over 5%. France and Sweden also present strong growth, with Sweden experiencing a notably high year-on-year increase of 17.3%, boosting its capacity to 16.21 thousand MW. Despite their smaller capacities, countries like Norway and Ukraine show substantial growth rates of 32.83% and 34.1% respectively.

In 2023, European countries managed steady increases in wind power capacities, with notable rises in smaller countries such as Croatia and Serbia, which saw growth rates of 18.01% and 16.4% respectively. However, some countries like Romania and Hungary experienced slight declines.
