The production of anhydrous ammonia in Spain has shown a remarkable shift from 2018 onwards. For five years, production was non-existent until 2018, when it surged to 371 million kilograms of nitrogen. This growth saw a slight decline up till 2020, stabilizing around 301 million kilograms by 2021. In 2022, there was a minor recovery of 1.91%, with minimal change in 2023. The forecasted CAGR over the next five years indicates a stable trend with an expected increase in production, reflecting almost no change. As of 2023, production stood at 307.5 million kilograms of nitrogen.
Future trends to watch for include potential shifts in production due to changes in global supply chains, environmental regulations influencing production methods, and technological advancements aimed at enhancing efficiency and sustainability of ammonia production.
