Besides the general overviews and the detailed and those individually oriented to particular brands, the company ones are focused on the data and interesting facts which are covered in the country briefs. View more country reports on our automotive industry page.

As a matter of fact, they and all of the research which is made specifically for one country’s automotive sector are both the most interesting and most important.

Due to the fast and dynamic developments in the global market, it’s impossible to analyze it in detail without detaching the main regions and their own companies as official representatives. For this purpose, each automotive article is also a sign of the large progress of the global automotive field. Country reports can also provide rich information on side costs of owning a car such as the different auto insurance rates in the same country (e.g. United States).

If a country can be determined as an outstanding leader in a specific field (e.g. the UK government recently accepted to test driverless cars on public roads and might also implement electric roadways to help electric cars re-charge while driving) and two other countries are acting as supports, it means that global business is heading in a positive direction.

Top Regions

When it comes to market research or key data from automotive data, the world vehicle industry can be separated into several parts – the top regions (countries) with most significant influence. These countries are the main sources.

As top players in the market we can point the following countries – China, the USA, Brazil, Japan, India, Germany, Mexico, Thailand, Canada, South Korea, and many others. The larger players of them are, of course, China, Japan, the USA and probably Germany. However, the recent country reports which have focused on Brazil, India, Russia, and China (even though the Chinese market experienced some troubles in Fall 2015) have shown that the impact of these regions on the global car industry is remarkable, due to the fact that they have been attracting car-manufacturing plants with lower costs than in the "West". However, western countries such as Germany and the United States, which markets are considered more "mature", have started attracting car plants back to their territory thanks to interesting incentives. For instance, the swedish manufacturer Volvo will benefit from tax break and improved infrastructure for their future plant in South Carolina, USA.

This progress, coming Brazil, India, Russian, and China, has created a discussion around the BRIC market (including all of these regions). According to the statistics, by 2014 about 30% of vehicle sales will be in BRICs.

The New Key Players

New key players are vital to the auto sector.

All of the information above shouldn’t mislead you. Our reviews are mainly devoted to market research. Even though we haven’t mentioned it, it does become a large part of our bigger analyzing job.

However, the leading countries remain key players in the global industry. We could not skip mentioning them, because they will be the main factors for the prosperity of the car sector itself. According to the expectations of many experts, many new key players (countries) will appear on the global market and completely change it.

As an example we can point out China. Now, the country is a top player. But try to remember its automobile industry few decades ago and you’ll come up with nothing. For this reason, we are not about to skip any region and we will try to do our best and provide you varied and significant studies for different global regions.
