The number of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Exams in the Netherlands is expected to rise at an average annual rate of 1% between 2021 and 2026, from 1,014,700 to 1.08 million. This marks an increase of 4.1% since 2014. Belgium overtook the Netherlands in 2021, becoming the country with the highest number of MRI exams (1.01 million). Germany, France and Spain were second, third, and fourth, respectively. The Diagnostic Imaging Density in the Netherlands is forecast to grow by 1.5% a year on average between 2021 and 2026, from 248 to 273 units. Since 1991, this figure has risen by 2.6% year on year.
