The number of computed tomography exams performed in Germany is set to rise over the next five years, according to research. In 2021, 12.6 million exams were carried out in the country, placing it fourth in a global ranking. South Korea was the highest, with France and South Korea coming second and third respectively. Since 2010, the number of exams performed in Germany has risen by an average of 0.6% each year. This is set to continue, with the total expected to reach over 13.5 million by 2026 – a 1.1% yearly growth rate.
