Brazil is forecast to become the third-largest consumer of pesticide in the world by 2026. Consumption is expected to reach 422,630 metric tons, a 1.2% year-on-year growth rate. In 2021, the country ranked third, behind the United States and Argentina. Since 1995, the Brazilian market has grown at an average rate of 0.8% year-on-year. Brazilian pesticide imports totalled 1.02 metric tons in 2016, down from 5,230 metric tons in 2015. Meanwhile, exports reached 8,170 metric tons in 2014, up from 8,000 metric tons the year before.
