Malian pesticide consumption dropped to zero metric tons in 2021, down from 1.9 metric tons in 2020 – a 100% decrease from the previous year. Since 1995, pesticide use has decreased by 100%. Mali ranked 155th in terms of pesticide use, with East Timor having the lowest amount at zero metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina were the top three, respectively.
