In 2021, Albania overtook Estonia with 668 metric tons, making it the 95th largest pesticide market in the world. The United States, Brazil and Argentina ranked as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest markets, respectively. Estonian pesticide imports saw a 20% decrease in 2017, dropping to 0.02 metric tons from 0.02 metric tons in 2016. Since 2000, the country’s demand for pesticides has decreased by an average of 1.2% year on year.
