This is a significant drop from 1995, when the country experienced a 5.5% year-on-year decline. The United States, Brazil, and Argentina ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. Romania's pesticide imports in 2018 were close to 0.74 metric tons, a 99.6% decline from the previous year. This put Romania in 42nd place, with Costa Rica in first. Thailand, Germany, and Taiwan followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
