Historically, the Kuwaiti market has remained relatively stable since 1995. As of 2021, Kuwait ranked 135th in terms of pesticide consumption. New Caledonia overtook Kuwait in this ranking with 32 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Since 2011, Kuwait's pesticide consumption has decreased by 7.7% year-on-year. In 2018, the country ranked 27th, with Slovenia coming ahead with 13.57 metric tons. Thailand, Germany and Taiwan placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
