Maltese fertilizer imports are set to reach 570,000 metric tons by 2026, down from the 574,000 metric tons reported in 2021. This is a decrease of 0.1% compared to the annual average since 2007, when the country saw a 4.8% drop in demand. In 2021, Malta was ranked 140th in terms of fertilizer imports, overtaken by French Polynesia at 574,000 metric tons. Brazil, Spain, and Thailand followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
