French Polynesian fertilizer imports are expected to drop in the next five years. The import of fertilizer into French Polynesia is set to fall to 527 metric tons by 2026, down from 699 metric tons in 2021. This would represent a 4.8% decrease on a yearly basis. Since 2007, imports into the country have fallen by 2.9% each year on average. In 2021, French Polynesia was 139th in the ranking, with Nigeria overtaking it with 699 metric tons. Brazil, Spain and Thailand took the second, third and fourth positions in the ranking respectively.
