Korean consumption of goat meat is estimated to rise to 10,000 metric tons by 2026, up from 9,000 metric tons in 2021. This translates to an average growth rate of 2.1% year-on-year. Since 2017, there has been no change in Korean demand. In 2021, the country was ranked 93rd, with Armenia overtaking it at 9,000 metric tons. India, Pakistan and Iran came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, the Korean goat meat production is expected to reach 2,300 metric tons by 2026, up from 2,000 metric tons in 2021. This gradual growth rate of 1.8% year-on-year has been consistent since 2017. In 2021, Korea was ranked 107th, with Swaziland ahead at 2,000 metric tons. Australia, India and Pakistan followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
