Goat meat production in Bangladesh is expected to reach almost 240,000 metric tons by 2026, according to a recent report. This is an increase of 0.4% on average each year since 2017. Bangladesh was ranked 11th in 2021, with Mongolia ranked higher at 231,000 metric tons. India, Australia, and Pakistan were respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Meanwhile, goat meat consumption in Bangladesh is forecast to reach 233,000 metric tons by 2026, a 0.2% increase on average each year since 2017. Bangladesh was ranked 7th in 2021, with Algeria ahead of it at 230,000 metric tons. India, Pakistan and Iran ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
