Cubans are set to consume 11,300 metric tons of goat meat by 2026, a decrease of 1.3% on average compared to 2021. Consumption has dropped 2.6% since 2017. Switzerland overtook Cuba in consumption, with 12,000 metric tons in 2021. India, Pakistan and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place in the ranking. Cuban production of goat meat is estimated at 12,700 metric tons by 2026, a decrease of 0.3% compared to 2021. Since 2017, production has stayed the same. The Netherlands overtook Cuba in production, with 13,000 metric tons in 2021. Australia, India and Pakistan respectively followed in second, third and fourth place in the ranking.
