Consumption of goat meat in Morocco is projected to reach 187,300 tonnes by 2026, up 0.4% annually on average since 2021 when it stood at 183,000 tonnes. This makes Morocco the 11th largest consumer of goat meat in the world, behind South Africa (183,000 tonnes). India, Pakistan and Iran follow in second, third and fourth place respectively. Moroccan production of goat meat is estimated to reach 246,400 tonnes by 2026, growing 1.7% each year since 2021 when it was 223,000 tonnes. This makes Morocco the 13th biggest producer of goat meat in the world, behind Russia (223,000 tonnes). Australia, India and Pakistan ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
