Since 2017, the country's demand for goat meat has been increasing steadily at a rate of 3.6% per annum. Togo was ahead of Namibia in 2021 with 10,000 metric tons of consumption. India, Pakistan, and Iran ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively. In 2018, Namibia's goat meat production totaled 14,000 metric tons, up from 14,000 metric tons in 2017. The country placed 72nd, while Ukraine was ahead with 14,000 metric tons. Australia, India, and Pakistan ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.
