Goat meat consumption in Papua New Guinea is expected to decline to 10,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country consumed 13,000 metric tons, down 3.6% from the previous year. Since 2017, consumption has dropped by an average of 2.4% each year. Papua New Guinea ranked 79th in 2021, with Sweden topping the list at 13,000 metric tons. India, Pakistan and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
