In 2021, Ireland was placed 34th in the global rankings, overtaken by Greece with 70 thousand metric tons. Australia, India and Pakistan followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. Irish goat meat consumption is projected to stay stable at 16 thousand metric tons for the next five years. Since 2017, demand has been flat. In 2021, Ireland was placed 72nd in the rankings, with Vietnam coming ahead with 16 thousand metric tons. India, Pakistan and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
