Romanian goat meat consumption is on the rise and is expected to reach 80,000 metric tons by 2026. This marks a 0.5% year-on-year growth since 2021, when the nation consumed 78,000 metric tons. Since 2017, there has been a 0.4% year-on-year increase in demand. Romania ranked 28th in 2021, with the United Arab Emirates coming in at number 27 with 78,000 metric tons. India, Pakistan, and Iran held the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. At the same time, Romanian goat meat production is projected to reach 84,420 metric tons by 2026 from 83,000 metric tons in 2021, with a 0.3% year-on-year average rate. Since 2017, supply has grown 0.8% year-on-year. Romania ranked 29th in 2021, with Mexico coming in at 28th with 83,000 metric tons. Australia, India, and Pakistan held the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
