Consumption of goat meat in Iran is projected to reach 416,000 metric tons by 2026, up 0.2% from 411,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, demand for goat meat in the country has remained relatively unchanged. In 2021, Pakistan topped the list with 411,000 metric tons, followed by India, Iran, and Pakistan in that order. Meanwhile, production of goat meat in Iran is expected to reach 430,000 metric tons by 2026, up 0.6% from 415,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, Iranian supply has increased by 0.1% annually. In 2021, New Zealand led the pack with 415,000 metric tons, followed by Australia, India, and Pakistan.
